Pleating

Textile Project

During this project I researched pleating. My goal was to be able to make wonderful pleated fabrics by myself. I started making paper molds, which are folded from two layers of thin cardboard. Once I finished this I was able to start pleating fabrics by laying them in between the carboard layers and using heat, spressure and steam. As a result I got perfecly pleated samples. After this I started to experiment.
